Jazz Club Posted July 10, 2020 Posted July 10, 2020 (edited) £37 will get you a nice 3 string DIY kit. Edited July 10, 2020 by Jazz Club 1 Quote
EdwardMarlowe Posted July 11, 2020 Author Posted July 11, 2020 I've intrigued by the kits, but I'm not sure I have what it takes for the assembly skills... Do you know if those gyus do #em left handed, by any chance? I suppose it'snot much to Hendrix one of these, but I still prefer the socket on the correct side... Quote

Just drill a hole on the opposite side and fit the jack there. I can't see there being much on the inside of these to get in the way of you doing that. 1 Quote
Jazz Club Posted July 12, 2020 Posted July 12, 2020 (edited) It comes built just string fitting needed. I wouldn’t bother changing jack socket to use as a lefty just use a angled jack £32.88 on amazon. www.amazon.co.uk/Electric-Blues-Box-Slide-Guitar/dp After watching the above video I’ve bought one for myself and for my son for a bit of fun. I will round off the neck straight edges though. Will only take a few minutes to do with a Stanley blade and a sanding block. Edited July 12, 2020 by Jazz Club 1 Quote
EdwardMarlowe Posted August 4, 2020 Author Posted August 4, 2020 Stringing I can do.... I've always shied away from anything where I needed to set the bridge in the right place for intonation and such (assembled and disassembled a couple of Stat types - easy peasy once the holes are all there!), but I can sure tune one! I've put that on my wishlist, hopefully when birthday timerolls around... Quote
Jazz Club Posted August 4, 2020 Posted August 4, 2020 I’ve bought a couple of these £20 kits to add to our cigar box collection after stumbling across it on YouTube a few nights ago. Look like fun. 1 Quote
EdwardMarlowe Posted August 6, 2020 Author Posted August 6, 2020 A Colleague of mine is a skilled uke player (among other things). Goes by Professor Chris on Youtube. Good fun. I've been tempted to try a bit of uke, that might be away of doing it. Quote
