Gibson Corvus 1

Here is the first Guitar I bought (with my first pay cheque) December 1983 Gibson Corvus 1. They only made them for a couple of years so now quite rare,  although I did see one on ebay the other week.

Interesting you saw one on ebay, there was a corvus II that sold on a guitar auction a few weeks ago, maybe someone bought that and passed it on. I did briefly think of getting it but it was white and not in as good condition as yours.

The one the bay at the moment is a Corvus II and is grey. If i had the money I would get it as i always wanted a set of them

Ahh - same colour, but I was wrong, the one that went on auction was a corvus 1, like yours (but not as neat). Went for £520 + 24%

Would that be a flock?

Interesting looking guitar.  Maybe Gibson was trying to jump on the small body guitar trend ala Steinberger?

I think it was a bit of a Gibson revival model along with the Invader and Challenger.  I got it because I couldn't afford an Explorer,  I think it was  quite a bit cheaper.  it has a 24 ¾” scale length & about 3kg.

It's a cool looking guitar, I hadn't seen one before and didn't know the model existed.
