FreddyNT Posted January 29 Posted January 29 I've just bought a Fender Player Plus Stratocaster HSS and I'm a little concerned. The 'noiseless' pickups produce more noise than those on my squier CV 50s Tele. When I have the volume on 10, the noise is around the same level, however if I roll the volume down a bit to say 7 or under, the hum gets really loud - something that I definitely wouldn't expect from a noiseless pickup. I'm a 17 yo and this is my first Fender and I really want to make sure that I haven't spent all my money on a duff model - any help would be really greatly appreciated! Quote
ezbass Posted January 29 Posted January 29 Sounds like an earthing problem. An easy fix for someone who knows what they’re looking for. If you bought it from a shop, get them to sort it out. If from a private seller, just get a tech to look it over. Quote
Adders60 Posted February 4 Posted February 4 Are you sitting really close to your amp perhaps ? What about any pedals in use before the amp such as drive pedals ? Does it only do it on the single coil pickups ? Quote
