dewayne Posted December 28, 2024 Posted December 28, 2024 I have a PA that would work fine with my old Android phone which required 3.5 Jack but I have a Samsung flip 6 that requires C type adapter which I have added but now there's no sound coming out of the PA or the video freezes. any suggestions? Dad3353 Posted December 28, 2024 Posted December 28, 2024 A USB 'C' does not pass audio signals, so cannot drive a PA at all. There is an adapter/dongle which converts USB digital data to audio, with a 3.5 socket for a headset. That's the way to get audio from the 'phone to the PA. It can be done with a Bluetooth receiver plugged into the PA, too, but it's a bit more messing about. Walmart carry such a dongle... Walmart : Samsung Flip 6 usb 'C' to 3.5 dongle usa ... Hope this helps. Quote
dewayne Posted December 29, 2024 Author Posted December 29, 2024 Thanks. I have several versions of this type adaptor including c to 3.5 (male and female) going to 1/4" or XLR, (male or female) part of problem was a setting on my phone that i am unsure how it got turned off/on. Now still sound restrictions but if i pull 3.5 halfway out of female adaptor into phone the sound is full but only if i am holding just so Quote
dewayne Posted December 30, 2024 Author Posted December 30, 2024 I believe i have the wrong jack. 3.5 for sure but mabe trrs is whats needed. Quote
Dad3353 Posted December 30, 2024 Posted December 30, 2024 Trs is for headphone alone. Trrs is for headphones with a mic. It's the former that's required for getting audio out for the PA. Quote
