What Guitar-related Christmas Presents Did You Get?

A present for myself : a piezo_pre-amp kit to install into my acoustic (holes to be cut into the sides, and the capteur to be fitted under the bridge...). I'll then be able to record without recourse to a mic. B|

I received very few (hardly any in fact) Christmas presents and certainly no musical related ones. TBH, I’d rather folks didn’t try to buy these kinds of things as anything I need/want would be a very personal acquisition.

Strap/Picks chord buddy, OK useable Strap and Picks, That Chord Buddy as seen on shark tank, as seen on TV, as seen on you tube, do yourselves a favor don`t just do not. 1) If ya finally get it to fit properly, without silencing other strings or the strings on the same chord being played 2) constant readjustment of chord buddy so that it does not do this. I am talking between chords in the same bar/song or chorus. 3) If it is not being adjusted then your putting it back on.

my christmas pressy hasn't come yet, hopefully soon though and I'll post a picture when it does (it's Brian May related, not that I'm a fan boi or anything, I just love his guitars)

Nice I am not much on the reds, but I like the dual tones here

agreed, it's a nice piece of wood for the top and the staining really brings it out

It's portable, easy to use, and provides excellent sound recording capabilities.

To quote Faith No More, "What is it?"

It's a year later, but I do like the idea of a balanced XLR connector...

Useful for plugging into my Tascam interface, and would also be good for sending to FOH if I played 'live'. I don't know why more don't do things this way. B|

I picked up a super cheap Ibanez S670 with a fake body for 1500RMB ten days ago and went about upgrading, fixing and customising it with chrome Gotoh hardware and Dimarzio Satriani signature pickups.

I wanted to do a Chromeboy painted finish but it's not possible to do it well on wood bodies.  The original Chromeboys had finish cracking and bubbling issues do to wood expanding and contracting with seasonal changes, the follow ups had bodies made of lucite not wood.  So I did the next best thing - bought a load of mirror vinyl wrap online and found a friendly auto wrapping firm to do it for me after my own attempt failed miserably.  The reflection isn't 100% sharp but only really noticable when you are standing closer than 5 meters.  I'm planning on using the guitar for a show coming up on Jan 11.  The good thing of vinyl over paint is that I can get it re wrapped if it starts to look a little worn.
