Chudallica Posted November 11, 2021 Posted November 11, 2021 (edited) Hi, I'm Richard (Chud) I've been playing the guitar on and off since I was 13, I'm now 50 and forever looking for better sounds and tones. My biggest music influence over the years has been Metallica, I first heard Orion back in '87 and I had to know who was playing it and have been a massive fan of them since. ezbass Posted November 12, 2021 Posted November 12, 2021 Great intro there, complete with gear photo too; just the ticket. It’s not super busy here, but then it doesn’t take hours out of your day catching up with all the updates, but we’re always willing to throw our collective weight behind any questions, guitar related or otherwise. Many of us are also bass players and contribute to BassChat, where it’s a lot busier, but we come here to chill and talk about the 6 stringed thing without the gentle ribbing we receive there (all very good natured though, they’re a nice bunch). Did you find a way to brighten it up? Quote
Chudallica Posted Tuesday at 18:49 Author Posted Tuesday at 18:49 Hey Kiwi, I found the California to be a great pedal which added a lot of depth to the high gain mesa head, but I did find that on the base adjustment seemed to suddenly jump, I tried it right down with the base up on the head unit and mainly use it to add a smother mid tone instead for lead work. I used to had a Hammett signature Randall amp which it worked really well with that ! recently I have moved away from physical pedals and been playing with a digital sims at home just for something different, but you can't beat proper pedals !!
