Skinnyman Posted May 26, 2021 Posted May 26, 2021 I’ve tried a Zoom rehearsal and it was awful. The latency wasn’t too bad when talking but long enough to make music awful. Is Sonobus any better? 1 Quote

I think when it comes to music you'd want a dedicated software designed for music rather than business meetings. I'm sure Zoom is fine for lessons which involve one person playing at a time, but syncing it up... Mind you, the fact we're even discussing this at all shows how far we've come since the days of Live Aid when they had to pre-record one half of the Bowie-Jagger duet because even with such an insanely expensive satellite link as they had access to they couldn't get the timing to work. Different world now! 1 Quote
PeteUK Posted Wednesday at 02:57 Posted Wednesday at 02:57 I could be up for this. I'm not tech savvy though, and only have mobile wifi. Yep, we've came a long way. Anyone else remember buying tab books? 1 Quote
Dad3353 Posted Wednesday at 09:57 Posted Wednesday at 09:57 Tab books..? I could supply a small music school with all the tab, notation and method books I've accumulated over the decades..! Everything from how to harmonise, basic (and less basic...) music theory, several 'Real' books of jazz standards, with just as many (or maybe more; I've lost count...) of songs by various bands and/or artists. All of this for guitar, but also bass, and drums (I'm a drummer...). I'm still using, on an almost daily basis, the very first guitar method I bought when buying my very first guitar (this latter now, thankfully, long gone...); 'Mickey Baker's Complete Couse in Jazz Guitar'. The rest is history ... Quote
