Have we all seen this? Your thoughts please. To me, I've never been aware of this guitar as part of Eric Clapton history. £17500? Maybe I just dont understand the whole signature series thing.

Harley Benton are good guitars for the money. I'm thinking about one. The white HB35 is about £180 delivered brand new. It looks like my old Washburn but half the price.

Yeah thank you Douglas. I'll give it a few gentle taps myself, and if I dont see any improvement I'll take it to a repairer to get it done properly. I think there is one locally for about £30 an hour.

For me I have 2, maybe 3. First is my Washburn N2. Sentimental because my Mum bought it for me when I started to be a paid guitarist and needed something better. The memory is better than the guitar. Sold/traded because a quick string change as my only guitar was impossible. I was missing whole songs sometimes. Second is my white Washburn HB35. Couldn't get them in white in the UK, so I got it imported. Sold for £100 when I was moving in with my ex and didnt want to take up too much space in her house. I miss the guitar more than her. Last, a 90s Telecaster. Sold it and my car to move out and get my own place.

I could be up for this. I'm not tech savvy though, and only have mobile wifi. Yep, we've came a long way. Anyone else remember buying tab books?

Me giving it some full on A major stuff many years ago on my much loved and sadly missed Washburn HB35 that I got sent from America. UK only had, if I remember right red, natural , and black available. White wasnt an option here, but that's what I wanted. It got stuck at customs because I didnt know about import tax back then☹

I used to play bass too in my earlier years. I got a gig at the local theatre playing guitar for a show, but there were more jobs available for a bass player there, and was told if I get a bass I can have the more work. So I did. I dont have one anymore, but they are great fun. Maybe I'll get one thinking about it.

I could try that. My main hesitation is because I dont know if it was ever correct in the first place. The lady I bought it off had it from new, about 10 years, and I dont know if it was ever played that high, or much at all. If I knew it was once ok, then now high, then tapping it back into place might not be too difficult, but if it was never set correctly in the first place then I might be trying to tap the fret down but the groove might be too shallow, i cant see a gap, but then its maybe only a fraction of a mm anyway. What are the chances that a guitar leaves the factory with a groove not cut deep enough? I assume they are all done by robots not by hand. It's not like it was hand made by a luthier.

Hej 42Hz. I am new here as well.

I recently bought a Washburn N2, about 30 years after having one before. It looks like it's hardly been played. I played an E major as a test, it worked, so I paid and went home with it. However, playing all the notes, it buzzes on the high E string at the 15th fret. 12th fret E is ok, so is F, just a little buzzy. F# sounds like a buzzing G, then G is ok. Its definitely higher fret. I can feel it when I close my eyes and run my finger down the fretboard. My question is really this. Should I just hit it with a hammer?

For those who aren't, he's an American musician who seems to know his way around a guitar. He knows his stuff. Plays well, has experience etc. Basically he is calling out the long time tradition of seeing the 1958 - 1960 Gibson Les Paul bursts and their legendary status, and price tag that they have, and have had for a while. While they are beautiful, and lots of great guitarists have owned them, are they really worth, let's say, £200,000 to £600,000?

Thank you for the warm welcomes. I'll get photos of my guitars on now.

Hi all. New to the forum. Just got some new (to me) guitars. I'm pushing 50, but started playing at about 15. Unfortunately I've not been playing for all 35 years. It's like I'm a learner again, but with previous knowledge.
