Greetings and salutations.
so hello. As the title says I’m a complete newbie with the guitar. At 54 I got the bug to learn when my daughter started taking lessons in school. I’ve never played an instrument in my life but have always loved music. The closest I have been to having any “musical talent” has been working as a dj in various rock and metal clubs in the northwest of England, which I’ve done off and on since around 1995. Currently I share an Ibanez gio with my daughter but today I was gifted an epiphone Les Paul custom by an old friend of mine. It’s had a neck break but been repaired and plays great (in the right hands). I’m taking lessons at a local music school and I have the bug so bad! I try and get an hour a night practise but don’t always squeeze the time in, but I’m trying. Anyway, hello again. I’m looking forward to my journey and I have no doubt I’ll have lots of questions in the coming weeks.
