  1. If you can find this device, the Tascam CD-GT2. This device makes learning any song easier. All one has to do is drop in a CD, slow down the music ( without affecting the pitch), you can get every rhythmic nuance, every riff and any blazing solo. The overdrive and distortion is lacking, so you have to add a pedal to give more girth to get it into Metal territory. It has some great Flanger, Chorus, Detune and Phaser. The Delays and Reverbs are not bad at all. To add more definition to your speaker or headphones, is the Exciter that will add clarity like a BBE Sonic Maximizer or Aural Exciter. You can add a momentary switch to take the CD go back up to five seconds or have it switch the effects block in this learning tool.
  2. This involves hammering, pulling off, using hand repositioning while using open strings to ring before repositioning hands and fingers. I leave the fingerings up to each person who tries it. Please, enjoy !!!!

  3. Back in the 1980's,  how many guitarist does it take to change a light bulb?

Four, one to get one a latter, screw it in, while the other three criticize and say how the could have done it better.

I’ve heard it as, “10. 1 to change it and 9 to say how the old one was better.”

  4. Trust me, I am in the U.S, here it's the mass produced / generic builds. I wished that we had an Independent builder, it would break the monotony of amp builds the we have in the U.S.
  5. All I can provide is my ideal set up if I were using your gear. I'd get a MIDI controller, put my Overdrives, Fuzz and Distortion in a MIDI programmable effects loop like a Decibel Eleven Loop Expander or RJM Mini Effects Gizmo to activate the pedals individually or combine them thru MIDI Mapping/ Implementation. I would use this order of pedals ; compressor, Fuzz, effects looper, Wah Wah ( if used), Eq, Noise gate, Pitch Shifter, then modulation ( Chorus, Phaser, Flanger, Detuner) Delay and then Reverb. But that just me.
  6. I have friends that bought some Mosky overdrives and they're good. But I can only attest to owning the Mosky Pure Buffer and it's a good buffer, so good that I moved my two VHT Valvulator 1's to my rack. My friend bought the Golden Horsie and it is just as good.
  7. Doesn't matter what age effects pedals or multi effects units are, if any musician has the patience, time to invest to go thru the owners manual, anyone can make any effects device sound good. One could run an BBE Sonic Maximizer or an Aphex Aural Exciter in the effects loop of an older multi effects unit to sound as good new out their. What people are paying for are the more bells / whistles in more modern gear. Trust me, I went thru many effects units over these last 40 years.
  8. Since I do many genres of Rock ; Classic Rock, NWOBM/ 80 Metal, Blues, Thrash, Neo Classical Metal and Instrumental Music. I notice the more distortion used the more the individuality of tonewood and pickups vanish. But when the guitar is ran clean you can hear the tonewood and pickup nuances.
  9. Good song !!!!
  10. Too bad that I am in the U.S.A. , you seem to have a gig that I would gladly jump into if I were in the U.K. Good luck !!!!
  11. I bought an Decible Eleven Loop Expander, it is capable of taking MIDI Commands and CC Messaging from a MIDI controller to add four foot pedals. I added a Behringer AM100 Acoustic Modeler, Boss GE-7 band Eq, EHX Ravish Sitar simulator pedal and a MXR Ten Band Eq. It features a Class A Buffer and the fourth loop can be used as a amp channel switch to change amp channels.
  12. I've lived in the Colorado Rockies and the Sierra Nevada Mountains in California. I've dealt with Bears, Deer, Squirrels, Coyotes, Pumas and recently Wolves. They tend to go about their business and only pass thru. But now I live in a medium sized city.
  13. I am also new on this forum. Enjoy the learning process !!!!
  14. I made a rack with a older Digitech 2112 SGS , that has two 12ax7 valves and from the two balanced outputs, it goes into two VHT Valvulator 1's, that is a buffer with a 12ax7 tube each, before going into two Crate Power Blocks Solid State amps. It is a hybrid set up, delivers very effective tube dynamics, feel and response.
