  1. I wanted to try making whole version of Sunny for fingerstyle guitar. There's some quite challenging chord voicings and fast runs, one of which I'll show in detail in this video. I hope you like it. Video Tabs:
  2. It's fun to make arrangements of 80's songs. They have something in them, maybe it's just nostalgy. Cheers, Mikko Video Tabs
  3. Hi! By changing basically just bass note below the chord voicing one can get pretty nice chord progressions. Little changes in the upper note gives a sense of melodic movement. Try this out. Cheers, Mikko Video Tabs

  4. Hi! I made this composition where I tryed to come up with interesting harmonies but not go too far. There's also this fast (at least for me) finger picking pattern I show in detail after the piece. I hope you like it! Cheers, Mikko Video Tabs
  5. Hi! I rarely practice any guitar technique without music that inspires me and here's a tune I think you can use in performing too, just play it twice or three times with modulation. Video: Tabs: Cheers, Mikko

  7. Hi! I made a 2-5-1 lick in a bit of style of Bireli Lagrene. Lick uses for example nice Em13 chord voicing and fast whole tone scale run. There's free tabs available if you're interested. Video Tabs Cheers, Mikko
  8. Hi! I was asked to make a version of this nostalgic song "Nuotiotunnelma" (Engl. Campfire atmosphere) from 1977 movie called Jäniksen vuosi. At the end I added some challenging finger picking part there to give different feel and climax. The basic theme is fun to play and works nicely on background music gigs. Video: Tabs: cheers, Mikko
  9. Hi! Here is beautiful gypsy jazz style waltz that is orginally a Finnish song called Karjalan kaunis Kerttu (Engl. Beautiful Kerttu from Karelia). It's made by Matti Jurva and Tatu Pekkarinen somewhere around end of 30's and beginning of 40's. I fell in love with the song that has so beautiful melody, harmony and story. It's about love and longing for Kerttu who stayed in Viipuri. The singer hopes to see her again, marry her and have a wedding in Pyöreä Torppa. The song is made in a time when Finland was in war with Russia and lost Viipuri and most of Karelia Region. Video Cheers, Mikko

  10. Manhã de Carnaval (Black Orpheus) is often played in slow bossa nova. I wanted make solo version of this song with little bit more groove in the rhythm. I've played this for some times in my gigs and added more improvised solo parts to it. I think it works nicely and it's fun to play. Video Tabs Cheers, Mikko

  11. Hi! It's fun and actually mind opening to compose without key. This is something I do in many cases. Sometimes for little portions inside the composition and sometimes for whole piece. Check out the video and tabs. Maybe there's something that helps you find new perspective in your composing and playing. Cheers, Mikko

  12. Always looking for strange voicings and trying to put them on places where they still sound beautiful and meaningful. Learning new sounds widens the understanding of sonic possibilities. It's inspiring and fun! Video: Tabs: Cheers, Mikko
  13. "Maa on niin kaunis", "Schönster Herr Jesu", is one of the most popular hymns in Finland that has often been sung at Christmas time. The melody comes from a collection of Silesian folk songs published in 1842. I made two versions of it. First one is kind of a practice for conterpoint and second one is the basic melody+harmony. I will show the later one in close on the video. If you are interested, PDF & Guitar Pro files for both arrangements from https://www.patreon.com/landscapeguitar Video: https://youtu.be/iLwNqVeI77k Have nice waiting of Christmas! Cheers, Mikko
