Havent read replies so may be repeating someones comment. Mabe Tony Iomni patented something for the fingers and he used drop D tuning. Try open tunings like open G. I play bottleneck style slide in different tunings and do my own stuff but I've played everything from albert collins to megadeth with my emphasis on rhythm. It doesnt sound like slide unless I want it to. I also began playing ukulele that i use banjo tunings on and get mandolin sounds on.

nice amp. Had for a few years. Always plugged in from front but read somewhere its better going in from the back (pause for stupidJoke) but the output (sound) was cut by 30% at least. Tried different configurations but result was sameOr worse. Any suggestions? I went back to input jacks up front
