Looking to do up my squier strat with a nicer neck and pickups. Since I'll only be using the neck pickup im thinking of just having the neck pickup replaced and the middle, bridge and pickup selector being dummies. Anyone ever done anything like this, and would it work well enough? Cheers

Was in the studio and had a near broken-up marshall jtm into a jhf1 Dunlop fuzzface with my single-coil tele. It got the Hendrix sound perfectly. So now of course I want a fuzz face but am not too keen on the jhf1 as it has no 9v power supply. What would get the hendrix tone better, a hendrix mini fuzz face (ffm3) or the band of gypsies fuzz face (ffm6)? Cheers

Hi, anyone know much about the marshall jtm60 heads? As far as I know they were only produced for a year in '96 then were replaced by the jtm600s. Know they have overheating issues because of the tube alignment, but the one I'm looking at had a eletric fan installed. Anyone know what the tones like? Similar to a jtm45 sorta thing or completely different? Cheers.

Hi, looking at the fender vintera road worn series 50's strats. Can the nitrocellulose finish be worn down over time like the original 50's strats or is there a layer of primer or poly coating that prevents this? Cheers.

Looking at a 2x12 with a 30w creamback and a 25w blackback. Could this be used with marshall 50w head or would I need a cabinet with more headroom? Thanks for the help.

Thanks for the help, planning on putting a 50watt marshal head into it that won't be put past 5. Hopefully get to something close to a decent sound out of it, cheers.

Found an old 70's Carlsbro speaker (think originally PA) with 2 celestion speakers, with an impedance at 8.3ohms. Would a speaker like this work with an amp head even if it might have originally been for PA and would the 8.3ohms work fine with an 8phm head? Thanks for the help.
