  1. Hi Frcoready, Its very simple to plug in to a computer and record and it dosn't have to brake the bank either ! The main thing is an interface with a USB connection, you can use normal speakers but I would advice investing a a pair of monitor speakers. Depending on what computer you're using is to the software, I run Amplitude for guitar recording with Logic as a DAW. You can download Amplitude for free and It comes with a bunch on stuff like amps, speaker, mics, effect pedals ..... this will give a great start and you can then purchase additional equipment plugins. If you have a Mac you install Logic for a 90 day free trial and then reinstall it after that time has run down, other DAW's you can try are Appleton 10 lite, I believe that is free.

  4. I have finally tidied the mess in front of my amp with a home (work) made pedalboard, spent ages trying to hide cables to suit a minor OCD/hate of cables and wires ! Pedal order from the effects loop on my amp: Amp Loop Send - Tuner - Noise Gate - Compressor - Tube Screamer - Amp Modeler - Acoustic Simulator - Chorus - Delay - Looper - Amp Loop Return Guitar plugs direct in to the amp.
  5. Hi, I'm Richard (Chud) I've been playing the guitar on and off since I was 13, I'm now 47 and forever looking for better sounds and tones. My biggest music influence over the years has been Metallica, I first heard Orion back in '87 and I had to know who was playing it and have been a massive fan of them since. Rig Rundown: Amp - Mesa Boogie Triple Rectifier. Cabinet - Marshall MX212R 2x12" Celestion Seventy 80's. Guitar - ESP KH-2 (Customised EMG Solderless System running EMG Bone Breaker Pick-ups with a 24v Mod). Pedals: Acoustic Simulator - Boss AC-2 Amp Modeler - Joyo California Chorus - MXR Analog Chorus Compressor - MXR Dyna Comp Delay - VOX Satriani Time Machine Looper - TC Electronic Ditto Noise Gate - MXR Noise Clamp Tube Screamer - Ibanez TS Mini Tuner - Korg Pitch Black Pedal order from the effects loop on my amp: Amp Loop Send - Tuner - Noise Gate - Compressor - Tube Screamer - Amp Modeler - Acoustic Simulator - Chorus - Delay - Looper - Amp Loop Return Guitar plugs direct in to the amp.
  6. I don't know the science behind wood treatment, I guess you can look at it like using hand cream ! It's become a routine now when I clean and restring and I've seen no damage. I'm not sure about the materials on passed guitars but my current ones all seem to be rosewood.
  7. I forget who I heard this from but they suggested to use valve oil for brass instruments on a fretboard, I tried this on a cheap guitar I had at first and now I use it on all my guitars when I restring them, I've been using this for years and would recommend it.
