No one else this week? OK, here’s not one, but 3 Teles (or T types at least) for you.
-
As I've been going for iconic Teles the last couple of weeks, I thought I'd continue with Bruce Springsteen's, together with a link to a Rolling Stone piece on the guitar. Enjoy. https://www.rollingstone.com/music/music-features/bruce-springsteens-favorite-guitar-the-story-behind-one-of-a-kind-fender-119846/

It’s Saturday, so how about a 1954 Strat being used in anger? Probably my favourite guitar player (at least today ).
-
I’ve noticed that when I’m down or stressed out (not so much these days) that I don’t pick up my guitars or basses. A sure sign that things aren’t right, but also a way to back to normal just by picking one up and making some time to play.

OK, I'm a bit early, but I thought I'd get my addition to Tele Tuesday out now and hopefully prompt some others to jump on tomorrow. Similarly to last week, I'm adding a video of an iconic Tele (in fact 2). Enjoy...

I thought I’d add what is probably one of the most iconic Teles in popular music (YMMV).
-
Ooh, hello pretty! Is that a Chapman?

Another week passes and another Tele takes the stage. However, due to the quality of the photo, the Tele in question has to share the stage with the other 4 of Leo's greatest hits (I tried a crop but the result was way too noisy). It's a Tele Lite Ash which came with Seymour Duncan Alnico 2 pickups and is yet again another guitar I wish I hadn't moved on .

A blast from the past with my old Strat (long since moved on) that played brilliantly and sounded spot on, especially with the DiMarzio SDS 1 I fitted in the bridge.
-
Right, this week I thought I'd add this beauty. It's an Anderson Drop T owned by Dave Kilminster. It's very much the colour inspiration behind my own Tele build.
-
I'm quite taken with these and, if I could justify another guitar, would definitely look at one, or the Jim Adkins, P90 equipped, semi-hollow Tele.
-
And a good deal cheaper than a mass produced equivalent from those chaps in Corona, California.

It seems to have been a bit quiet on GC of late. I know it’s still early days, but I though I’d start a thread that could be added to once a week (at least). Therefore, I am instigating Tele Tuesday. Post any photos that you like of T types that have caught your eye, or one’s that own (they don’t need to be from the big F, just be Tele like in their appearance). I’m going to kick it off with this Mesinger Maverick that I saw today (this makes my wallet itchy).

I remember talking to the guys on the Gillett stand about doing a guitar at the last bass show I went to. Good to see that they have produced one now. Enjoy it when you receive it.

I reckon that’s a spot on description.

I posted a picture of me playing my Aria here

What's odd is that Epiphone have included coil taps on their LPs (and other models) for years.
-
My Yammy SA2000. I really got into playing country and that semi didn’t seem ‘right’ at the time; what a mistake to make. Fender Ash Lite Tele. It wasn’t being played, but I should’ve just kept it as I pretty much replaced it many years later with a not as good model. My first ‘good’ guitar, an Aria lawsuit LP. I replaced the pickups with DiMarzio SDHBs and it was an absolute monster.
-
Once again, top work.
-
Mine would be a Thinline Tele with a bound top, but with a belly contour and a forearm chamfer. It would be fitted with P90s.
-
If I’m using roundwounds on bass, it’ll be D’Addarios too. However, I’ve recently been won over by EB cobalt flats for my low end rumblings.
-
A new addition to the stable at Ez Towers, an Epiphone Casino Coupe against my Fender Super Champ X2. I've taken off the bright white scratch plate, replaced the white switch tip with a cream one and added a 'closed crown' inlay to the, previously, rather bare headstock.
