Haven't decided what to do over the coming winter, but here's a couple of instruments I've messed with so far. The first is a 4/4 cello from ebay. It had a broken neck and the scroll had snapped in half. I also replaced all the black wooden bits with proper ebony and improved the finish slightly. The second is my one and only elctric guitar made from bits purchased on line. Nothing fancy, but it works and I like it!

I play mostly bass (yes, found this place through basschat) but enjoy all stringed instruments, guitars included. I like to mess around with wooden intruments, kits and such. An example: I found a broken cello on ebay and put it back together, along with some upgrades. Can I play cello? No I can't. One day maybe……. and I do play guitar a tiny bit.

You build some fine instruments, keep 'em coming! I do a bit myself (at a lower level) and need threads like this to get the juices flowing!
