Go for it. I converted to guitars with new hardware and electronics. I used Wilkinson trenolo and can't fault it. Have you looked at irongear pick ups?

Thanks. Looks like the previous wiring I dismantled with capacitor soldered to volume and tone pot. Would there be a much sound difference if I wired up classic strat wiring with CRL 5 way switch?

Thanks. This works for a standard 8 pin switch. The one I have has 7 pins with an extra 8th pin which seems to be ground.

it's an eight in line switch. 8th is a ground.

I've bought a second hand strat for a project. The blade switch has a 7 pin to connect pups and pots to it. The 8th pin is connected to casing. I didn't take notes before I de soldered the wires now I'm struggling to wire it up to work as a 5 way blade switch. Anyone has a diagram how to wire a 7 pin switch to work as a 5 way strat switch?
