  1. I’m trying to film some videos of it. Acoustic and plugged in, so I will make sure to share it here. Sound killer through my blues junior and my prince of tone!

  2. That looks amazing. Disappointed by the lack of gingham scratchplate though...

  4. And she’s done! Strung with D’Addario 12-56. Just need to let the settle in and then add the dots to cover the bolts. It sounds lovely acoustic and plugged in.

  5. Thank you! I’m hoping to do some videos at some point. So will be sure to share them here. It’s a whiteside spiral cutter. I got it from routercutter.co.uk. Yea it’s 50mm depth bit. Radian Tools also sell them, so worth looking there too.

  6. Interesting board @Chiliwailer - has a kind of freeform jazz feel to it

  7. Tightest of squeezes on my board, and a firm refusal to get a bigger one, hence selling the Fender Santa Ana to @Soledad The Boss Waza Chorus adds a bit of volume so it goes in before the comp, hence the odd placement of the input lead due to space issues.

  8. Loving this build and really interested to hear how it sounds @Dolando - where did you get the bearing guided router cutter you used on the table for body? Looks deep enough to do a Tele body etc. I have an inclination to knock something up

  9. tbh I don't know. Sounds scooped to me, and a bit phased. Someone will be along.

  10. Board update - there was a gap at the end needed filling. @Chiliwailer came good with a Fender Santa Ana Drive pedal. That's it now I reckon. This sounds lush - Tele through the board into Champ valve combo (which is crazy clean, hence the drive pedal). Lights up lovely too - tasty blue LEDs on the drive EQ. Like the nightmare before Christmas.

  11. That is a very good point. I am not really a fan of pedals, I like just setting my amp and using the volume the alter things, but my drummer (who is also a guitarist) suggested just using a preamp/boost with tone controlsto change the character without using a tubescreamer etc.

  13. New to the forum and flicking through a few days and found this topic and thought I would chip my tuppence worth in for what it's worth. I appreciate it is very subjective there are so many and it changes with my mood and whatever I'm listening too so firstly mentioned in despatches has got to be Jeff Beck, Jill Jackson and George Benson. However the three I always come back to are: Frank Zappa - so underrated it's unbelievable, even if you don't like his music give it a listen just for his playing. Paul Kossoff - just a sublime guitar player IMO. Finally John Martyn what he did with a guitar was absolutely amazing, especially when he taped the pick up on his acoustic and used and ecoplex(?) In the 70s.
